Default *SOLD* 1984 Scrambler CJ8 304 v8 *Great CJ V8 donor* rotten body and frame $625.00

1984 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler. I bought this for a parts Jeep. The people I bought it from siad they were fixing it up slowly and put many new parts but the rust got it faster than they can rebuild it. They put a new 2.5" lift w/ heavy duty shackles, Rancho shocks and then it sat. I was told brakes and clutch were new before it sat but have no way to verify.

304 V8, 4 barrel Holley, aluminum lower pulley.
Dual point distributor.
T-4 Trans and Dana 300
Dana 30 front AMC 20 rear gearing unknown.
2.5" lift w/ Rancho shocks and heavy duty shackles. Springs still have the stickers on them.

This would be an excellant donor for a V8 CJ swap, all the required parts are there to convert your 6 cyl.CJ to an AMC V8. Engine, Frame Mounts, Radiator and some crappy fenderwell headers..
It runs and can drive onto trailer under own power but it needs a temporary fuel tank up front and a battery. If you bring these things you can hear it run. All the hinges and latches on the body are missing.

Tub and frame are junk.
Will not part out at this time.
there is no title and is being sold for parts only.
No title $sold pm me if interested.

I know you say there's no title, and it's for parts only. But if I wanted to put a new fiberglass body on it, repair the frame, and whatever else, would it be POSSIBLE to get a title?

I ask, because my dad has always wanted a scrambler, and I think this would be a decent starting point. My best friends dad has built multiple Jeep frames, and has told me he'd build me one if I ever needed, so I can get a good frame. But like I said, I'd want to be able to title it.

Thanks,
Schvin

If you were going to build a frame and buy new body you can go to the Secretary of State and local police and have it inspected and they can issue an assembled vehicle title. I will gladly give a receipt for what you purchase from me. if interested pm me

good Sir,

How is the bulkhead? Are those hard doors (what condition are they in?) in the bed and are they included? Tires 31"/dry rotted?

Bulkhead is repairable, but has some rust on the flange near the outer edges, the hard doors are intact but the uppers are rusted out, tires are good for rollers. the engine runs and tthis thing is a great parts donor. The radiator is excellant.

It is cheaper and easier if we get a new title on the current vehicle. I understand if you have lost your title (I have done it before too).
I would be interested in buying the whole jeep, and from my past experience I know if we go to secratary of state together and you explain that you are selling the jeep to me, $17 can be paid for a new on the spot title.
If I come check out the jeep and want to buy it, would you be willing to do this?
I'll pay for the new title.
