Default what's this worth?

iphone in dark garage = fail. I know.

long story short, gave a quote to a customer for some work at their house and she offered me her late husbands car. I don't know the year, nor do I know the engine because she accidentally locked the keys inside it last year when she last drove it. Has 7402 miles on it. Not a scratch on it, the bed is immaculate. The interior appears to be pristine, but I can't get into it because the keys are on the seat, the doors are locked, and she doesn't have another key.

Her husband bought it new off the lot "many years ago" and she tells me the complete service history is in the glove box which of course I can't get at.

Anyway, if I trade her the job for the car, it would cost me aprox $4300 out of my pocket for this. Seeing as she thinks its a late 70's, I'm guessing it's not worth much, but figured I'd ask before I pass on a good deal.

7k original miles ?

I'd think it would be worth $4300.

I'm more concerned about resale, If I can flip it and make a couple grand, I'll do it. But its not really worth my time to make $500 to have that boat of a car taking up precious garage space at my house.

Looks like a 1979 Ford Ranchero to me. I got in a chase with one once and rammed his ass off the road and into a culvert. Maybe that will help you determine value.

Since it looks like it just came off the lot, I figured I'd ask. but it appears these things are worthless.

If your going to try and flip it I don't think it would move quick enough for you and be able to make over a $1k on it.

I asked my friend who is a big muscle car guy and he said that it would be worth $6k all day. But if everyone would think that or not I don't know.

Take your jeep body off your frame and put this on it. Then you could hang out on WGM.

Taken from Dearborn classics

1977 Ford Ranchero GT
1977 Ranchero GT

The 1977 Rancheros had now became the ultimate in truck luxury with The Thunderbird/LTD body style . In addition to the new longer, LTD body lines, the Rancheros were available with many of the LTD standard equipment such as power seats and windows, power steering, power disc brakes, and tow packages. These trucks were big and comfortable and were available in the Ranchero standard, 500, and GT models previously offered since 1968. The last and final year of the Ranchero produced a limited edition 1979 Ranchero with all leather interior, dash board, and special paint color and trim scheme. The number of these produced is unpublished, but has proved to be a very interesting vehicle on its own.

This is only a short summary of the Ford Ranchero provided for a general overview. Volumes could be written on the Rancheros.

If you need further information on the Ford Ranchero , including production figures, body codes, paint codes, engine specifications and other technical Ranchero data, visit the Dearborn Reference Library. For other information not listed please E-mail the technical staff at tech@dearbornclassics.com

Not worth it. There is one just like it down the road from me at a local Used car lot. Guy has had it for 3 years Had it listed for $4000 when he got it. Now it down to $1800. Under 40k on it and its clean.

I would not do the deal if it were me.

Maybe 2 of them? If 2 fit, you wouldn't have to make 2 trips up north and waste $100 on gas.

Well first it's a classic 30+ years old very low miles, If you find the right buyer you could get 8 grand out of it.
