It has since gotten bigger since you last saw it (another 6" and bigger tires). Its soon to get some new axles and a fresh engine as well.

A little od green paint and it blends right in and is not such an eye sore when it's parked. Also the advantage to the plastic 2 liter over a coffee can is that when you forget to take it off before starting, it will not hurt anything when it goes flying. I bounced the 2 liter off the side of the garage several times on forgetful start-ups. The PO must have never covered it and it was not long before my J pipe was self draining through a big old rust hole. After replacing the J pipe I made sure to keep it dry.
I think this is probably what I should do. I'll be building a barn this summer, so it won't be outside for too long...

Hehehe, the BLAT from the 7.8 liter straight piped is just awesome.. I think for that reason alone I don't want to adjust the overall location/setup. SOOO loud..

Although a whistler turbo would be better....

The original engine is nothing compared to the loudness of my brothers duece that has a turned up dt466 with a 5 in. stack in the same place.

Why in fawk would you ever want to make a duece louder? I wear ear protection in mine if I'm going to drive any farther than 10 minutes otherwise my ears will ring for the rest of the day.

The loudness is just a side effect of having twice the power

Yeah, I have eagplugs for me, and heavier ear protection for my son. Its loud even with earplugs.

I didn't think a DT466 would fit.. did he keep the spicer trans and the T-case in the stock location?

It took a lot to make it fit, since it is such a taller engine. Had to do a 4 inch body lift on the cab and then the rad and intercooler still didnt fit, that is what the bulge on the hood and sweet grill are for. But the stock trans and t-case did stay in the same spot.

+10
46 inch tires and doing more than mall crawling = busted and broken. My pipe was rusted to start, so I dont know what the big tires would do to a good pipe.
