I left my regular camera in the hotel all weekend, and didn't get any videos worth posting...but it was a pretty good opening weekend. Test is peaked as hell, as mentioned and there were some wicked drop offs. The wind was insane on Friday, the blowing sand would pretty much blind you for the last 20' of test hill every time, which made it interesting because you would either go balls out and launch on the peak or get high centered if you pussed out.

Here is a link to the SLF picture thread, quite a few pictures and a few videos.

Some snow buried under the sand, pretty cool to see in a 70 degree day.

His gas tank fell out when he jumped it. This was taken after he had used ratchet straps to get the jeep back to his truck/trailer because everything was still hooked up.

What's the specs on your jeep?

I have seen Test Hill peaked WAYYY more than it was this weekend. I didn't think it was peaked at all. I also didn't notice in "wicked" drop offs out there. We must have different opinions, on "peaked as hell" and "wicked."

It's actually my dads, I took the trip with him. But I can answer that question, it has a 1.75" daystar budget boost, 33x12.50 Pro Comp M/T's, a home built rear bumper, sway bar discos, and other than that it is completely stock, even on the factory shocks with 60K hard lifted miles

It was "peaked as hell" and "wicked" enough for Leah to get us stuck.... and run out of gas...

I have been going there pretty much monthly for the past 6 years, and this past weekend had the steepest peaks I have seen there. And I bet the guy who got life-flighted out of there after his quad landed on him after going off of one of the drop offs would argue that point too. I'm not sure where you were riding, but the western side of test hill was damn near vertical at the top, and there were multiple 6'+ drops on the back side of some of the hills on Friday morning (launched off of a few on my RZR). Saturday wasn't so bad because the wind calmed down, and the traffic and rain helped to smooth things out...but Friday AM/afternoon was "peaked as hell" like I said.

It really depended when you were there and what part of the hills you went up. On friday the top 6 feet of test were about a straight peak. by saturday afternoon it was getting knocked down alot more. Also they had to shut down a part of exit because there was a giant hole (drop off) on the back side
