X2 on sounding beat, but i hate the hour question on machines that do not have an hour meter, and 3 owners.

No there is not a way to tell the true hours that are on the machine, there are no meters. And with 3 owners it is impossible to know. Nobody counts how long they ride every time they ride and add it up.

Nada values are: Rough trade in = 2600 Clean trade in = $2895 and average retail is $3650

To me it sounds beat so offer him $2500 and go from there. as long as you stay under 3k you should be ok as long as it runs and drives good.

I don't know how the 06's are. But I have an 01 and it's been a raging pile of shit. I've had nothing but trouble with it since I bought it.
Starter clutches
cylinder base gasket
Broken cluch hub
Sub frame bolts wobbled out.
Transmission hand grenaded.
Among other problems
I finally decided to part it out because I was sick of constantly fixxing the thing. My advise would be to do some research about the Raptors and what problems they are still having before purchasing one. I had a 400ex before that and all I ever had to do to it was change the oil and clean the filter. Never had one problem with the Honda, except it was slow and ended up getting stolen
