Default replate or replace cylinder

I've never done either and after spliting the case replacing crank bearings, crank, piston, all clutch components I need to adress the cylinder. I've always heard your best off to just replace the cylinder and head but the ~200 replate is a lot nicer on the pocket book than the ~600 for a new cylinder and head. Any ideas, questions, thoughts you would like to share?

Is the cylinder/plating worn or damaged? A plated cylinder can be reused if it's within spec, just needs to be cleaned up.

It's pretty well worn and it's peeling off a little on the exhaust port corner there's not even a chance of cleaning it up.

Replate - I've done it twice and it has held up great.
