Default 94 Explorer Rear Suspention question.

The leaf spring front hanger brackets on my 94 explorer are rusted out. I have looked everywhere I can think of to find replacements. I even called spring manufacturers and everyone tells me that you just can't find them anymore. Does anyone know where I can get them, or have another solution?

measure outside width of the spring, including bushings, and get a piece of box tubing with an inside diameter that matches that (or as close as you can get) and make your own

go to a dealer, or an auto parts store that has people that know what they are doing. i put all new hangars and shackles on an 89 f-350 the winter before last. they still make the brackets

Explorers of that era have different rear suspension hangers than the Ranger (though other parts are the same or similar enough to swap)

I just loaded up LMC, and that part is grayed out, so they don't carry it.

Bottom half of page, 91-94 Explorer:

I'd still try a dealer, they're the likeliest to carry them.

Otherwise, if they feel you don't deserve several weeks worth of paychecks (or just don't have them), try contacting an offroad-fab shop and have a set made or seeing how much it would cost. Probably be a hell of alot heavier duty too.
