Well up by Suttons Bay there is a casino or do some wine tastings if you like. The mall is huge, but holds lots of teens and people that you want to beat up but the arcade was cool.

Lots of Vineyards to go do wine tasting in either of the peninsula's. Take a drive along M22, or even all the way to Cross Village for lunch at Legs Inn. Charlavoux is a cool town when the boats start coming back in to the marina.

Take Center Road to the end of the penninsula and stop at the lighthouse, then take Penninsula Drive back.

Have dinner at Bowers Harbor while out on Penninsule (supposedly haunted)

Have a drink at the top of the Park Place at night.

Visit Fishtown (look into that, not sure if it's "busy" right now).

Wine Tasting. Anywhere.

Pub Crawl Downtown front street.

Sand Dunes/Sleeping Bear Dunes.

That's a good list. Bowers Harbor Inn is good, and it's also the Jolly Pumpkin brewery now.

If you bring bikes (which I would if it's going to be warm), you can ride to a lot of places from town on the TART trail, which can even bring you up to Suttons Bay. Baymont Inn is out of downtown a way, but there is a bike path on the east side of US-31 all of the way from S. Airport Road into town. Suttons Bay is a cool place to poke around, too.

You should definitely visit the Grand Traverse Commons - it's the old state hospital renovated into retail/restaurants/office/residential space. The main building is named Building 50, and it's also surrounded by a number of smaller buildings with a bakery, cheesecake place, and wine tasting room. It's kind of confusing to get to - you want to take 11th Street to the west from Division (US-31).... that brings you right up to Building 50, and you can either park in front of it or drive around back where the bakery and cheesecake place are. While you're there, if you feel like a hike, there's awesome parkland and trails just to the west. I'd get a map of the trails first though, they can be confusing.

You could go see a movie at the State Theatre downtown - recently renovated, really nice, cheap popcorn.

The mall? Seriously? It's just like every other mall in the country.

If you want the best tasting filet in town go to Red Ginger it's down town next to the old state theater, they also have the best Sushi in town. As for entertainment the Museum is cocl and you'll drive by it on your way into town from yur hotel, also Pirates Cove is really close to where your staying and has go karts, awesome put-put, arcade, water slides. Also you mite consider trying Right Brain brewery if your in to tasting ALOT of micro brews, North Peak Brew pub has great appitizers and there Oatmeal Stout is great, plus Kill Kenny's Irish pub is in the basement and usually has music gets pretty busy on weekends. Don't be discouraged if you go out for a night on the town and it doen't seem that busy most bars don't even start to get filled till 10:00 or 11:00pm. If your looking for a place to dance then go to the Holiday Inn on the bay Schimmer's Night club. there are couple of taxi services in town don't be affraid to use them. Another great place to eat is at the old state hospital Stella's Bistro nice atmosphere for a romantic dinner.

Yes, yes, and yes. Especially Right Brain.

Amazing food.... just know it advance it's quite expensive. Another really good restaurant is the Cook's House, a very small joint with probably only 10 tables, and the chefs cooking right behind you (also kinda pricey). You can bring your own beer or wine (they don't sell alcohol), and they change the menu every day.

Another vote for Right Brain brewery! I was just there a few weeks ago.

There are TONS of 2 track's and seasonal roads to go driving around a few miles outside of downtown that from everything I know are perfectly legal to be on unless posted otherwise. Just stay off of the power lines!!!

theres also turtle creek casino in Williamsburg, and lots of great two tracking around Williamsburg, Kalkaska, Fife lake, Ranch Rudolf, etc. It wont be warm enough yet, but tubing or canoeing on the Boardman is always fun, as is doing any kind of boating or jet-skiing on Skegemog, Elk, and Torch lake. If you want the scenic thing, take a drive around Torch. Elk is beautiful too. Elk Rapids is a nice town, about 15 miles from your hotel, and on the way to Torch Lake. There are several nice resturants in E.R. its a nice town to walk or bike around for the afternoon. park downtown and ride the boardwalk over to the River Walk or Pearls. Joes theater is a real nice place, even if it doesnt look it. its a rather old place (100 yrs IIRC) and he just put nice new recliner seats in it. its only a one screen place, so theres just one movie option, which changes every week. the park downtown is beautiful at sunset.

If I were you, I would head up through E.R. around noon drive over through Torch River stop at the Wild Onion in Alden or The Dockside for lunch, then continue the circle around the lake stopping at Shorts Brewery in Bellaire. by the time you get back to town you can take a nice walk from downtown over to Pearls or River Walk for dinner, walk back to the park to watch the sunset over the bay, then stroll up to Joes and watch the late movie (9:00). have a few drinks at the Town club or the Hacienda, then head back to your hotel for the night. I promise, you wont be sorry. Its only the most beautiful place in the world. Oh, and the Trip will be even better in a Jeep with the top down. if i blow by you in my truck, rolling coal, its no offense, im just in a hurry, lol.
