Default Wanted: Petite male, must tolerate...

...fiberglass insulation.

Seriously, I need to insulate a crawl space under my family room. It will require about 100 sq/ft of 6" fiberglass batting (not a large area). My problem is that the opening to get to the area that requires the insulation is only 12" tall, and the crawl space is not much deeper. I would never fit in there. I need someone small to get in there and install the insulation.

Should only take about 2 hours, and I'm willing to pay $$, hopefully this weekend. I'm in Royal Oak. Anyone interested?

Ugh, I hate crawlspaces. Ours is tight like that. We just had a new furnace and ductwork done last year, so the new ducts block my old spot to get to the master bath plumbing. Had to repair a pipe this year, I had to bring a small shovel and dig a small tunnel to get myself under a beam.

I'd insulate ours but at this point, we ar emoving in about 2 years, so I don't think it'll be worth it.

I just stopped by Lowe's and priced out the materials. I only need 1 package of 6" batting (unfaced for crawl spaces) and 1 box of insulation retainers. $50 total. I doubt I can beat that price with any other material, and regardless of what I use, I can't get back there anyway.

I can see it now.. it'll expand too much, trapping you, and in 50 years, someone will find the corpse encased in foam down in the crawlspace..

Default Old haircut...

I'm a little over 6'1" and 157lbs. with a 28" waist,

and I might have Sunday open. I live in Flint, but my Dad is in Royal Oak, so I go there semi-often.

PM me with a $$ estimate (9 miles per gallon only goes so far...) and we'll chat.

Tonka hooked me up! The 1 hour job turned into 4 hours. He had to clear a path all the way in (clear out the chunks of cinder block, blown-in insulation and dead mice). There was no way in hell I could have fit in there.

The family room feels better already.

Tonka, you're the man!! I owe you a few
