Default 1973 International Harvester 1210 "the intertrashional"

it is a 1973 international 1210 4x4 camper special. one of my friends that is helping me work on it started calling it the intertrashional so the name has just kinda stuck. it has a dana 44 front, dana 60 rear, international v8, auto trans and a divorce transfercase. i picked this up a while ago and finally got around to gathering parts and starting to put it together.

here are the pictures of it in stock form from right before i bought it:

and than i bought 12" lift springs from a 73-87 chevy that im modifying to fit into the front of it.

and 37" tires on rims that i plan to use as rollers until i pick up the tires that i want for it.

tonight i got the old front end ripped out and put the springs and slid a 10 bolt front under it until i can get the dana 60 that i want for it.

much more to come as i make progress on it this week.

plans for it this week include: 14 bolt for the rear, a shackle flip and blocks to lift the rear, custom front bumper, camo spray paint job , air horns off a semi, brakes, steering, new carb, fresh gas, change all fluids and everything else i need to get it running and driving!

long term plans include: dana 60 front, 40"+ tires, cummins swap, restore the body/nice paint job and freshen up the interior.

the beast is alive!!! i put the carb off my jeep on it and it runs.. kinda rough and it doesnt like to idle but it runs well enough to tell that the whole bottom end is in good working order. i figure with some fresh gas and tune up parts it will be a great runner!

well normally i say everythings forsale for the right price... but not this. i am collecthing parts for this right now and trying to knock out the rest of my projects. hopefully by the time snow flies ill have the rest of the projects done and this is going to sit in my shed all winter and and roll out a new truck in the spring.

a few weeks ago i picked up a 7.3 IDI diesel out of a 94 ford. not a real tire burning motor but it does have a banks sidewinder kit on it and that way the truck stays all international instead of dropping a cummins in it.

there will be many updates soon since i just got my 2002 gmc done on monday and my 1999 chevy should be done tomorrow. than i have to throw a 304 in my 1989 yj sometime next week than this will be next on the list
