At this time we now have about 70 congressmen that are members of the socilist group in this country and they are . Go figure.

This scares the Crap out of me. Especially for my generation and the ones I'm transporting in my bus.

I guess the only hope we have is if this style of Administration is ended. By what means, I have no idea.

the state takes income taxes from that $xxx figure.
joe's employer pays taxes on him as well
joe is left with $xx after taxes.
joe takes his $xx out and does the following
1.puts gas in his car=cost+6% state tax
2. joe takes the family out to dinner=cost+6% state tax
3. joe buys magazines at borders=cost+6% state tax
4. joe buys halloween candy at the store=cost+6% state tax

Joe has now been taxed 4 more times on the money he received after being taxed
by the state. the money joe gets after taxes is taxed again every time he spends it.

and people think joe is crazy.
You can carry it down to the n-th degree:
Joe buys the family car = post-tax revenue to pay a loan that includes sales tax;
Joe has to register the vehicle = tax revenue to the SOS;
Joe pays sales tax on everything to maintain the vehicle;
Joe decides he cannot afford his car = new buyer starts the process all over again.

The government is already so far in our pockets, spending our money on programs because they don't believe we are bright enough to chose for ourselves.

There is a national retirement program that is being pushed by several influential people - something akin to what 3-foot talks about.
A mandatory 5% contribution from all workers to be invested into government bonds with a "guaranteed return" of 3% over the rate of inflation. People would not be allowed to touch or control this money (remember, the government knows what's best for us) - it would be metered out accordingly so none will be broke.

Along with this will come a $600 tax credit to those whose participate (instead of investing in a 401K) - however, the maximum amount you'll be able to contribute before taxes will drop to $5000 a year (currently $16,500) should you choose the 401(k).

Fuck these niggas' couch.

Chavez just did this with all retirement funds in his country a year or so ago... It can and will happen unless we the people tell the fuckwads in Washington to drop dead.

"We The People" told the Fuckwads in Washington they wanted handouts - hence the current administration. Hopefully the dipshits have alienated enough of their voter base to boot the incumbents out.

I think you're closer to the truth than I'm comfortable with.

While this might sound crazy, how crazy would mortgage forgiveness and government "investment" in car manufacturers, banks, brokerages, and insurance companies?

People who overextended themselves buying homes they couldn't afford on "interest only" mortgages being rewarded/protected for their stupidity?

I'm looking forward to "retirement".

Scooter. You are right. And what makes it even more insane is to try and comprehend
all that tax money the state gets and is still broke. It makes my head spin.

I have no idea why we're broke. I mean, I just heard Granholm is touring Japan and just visited an auto show over there.

I'm sure she flies business class, as do her cronies - depending on when/where you buy the tix, that's about $5k per person. Lodging & food is entirely overpriced - especially for a touring entourage.

I hate this state.

It's only her 8th trip in two years,..........she's working hard for the state, getting jobs for the people.

Canada can have her back.

she constantly claims she is over there trying to get jobs here in michigan. just like the israel trip. yeah right.

the state is broke because of disproportional rates of pay for state employees. jobs to her friends and family that pay well over $100k + benefits. freebies to former state employees for life. state maintained roads and freeways that get torn up and redone over a 3 year period, the a year after completion they are falling apart and subsequently get torn up again for another full redo on the taxpayer dime.

then when all the money is wasted she comes on the televisions and threatens the residents of the state with a complete shutdown if new taxes aren't immediately imposed.

this chart shows the state revenue from fuel taxes alone (through 2005)
http://www.crcmich.org/Almanac/Taxes/mtrfhist.html

this chart shows state revenue from income tax
http://www.crcmich.org/Almanac/Taxes/stinchis.html

this chart shows you tax percentages per state.
http://www.taxfoundation.org/taxdata/show/245.html

so we're already in the billions of dollars with those charts. now lets factor in sales tax on everyday items not included in the charts. the new 2% service tax and the taxes that all of the business' pay you are sure to run into the trillions of dollars.

but the state is broke

John GAlt....

I hate to say this, but as we continue to develop a huge class of people who have become dependent on the government, the revolting and rioting will probably be mostly done by those who are on the dole. Look at the rioting in France this week over the goverment wanting to raise the retirement age to 62 and other fiscal measures. Millions of people have taken to the streets, shut down roads, schools and over a 1/4 of the nations gas stations have run out of fuel due to lack of deliveries. They are begging for government control. This shit will happen here unless we get a handle on these big-government yahoos quick.

Don't worry..Scooter is full of shit. This will never happen.

We all know that the zombie apocalypse will come LONG before this happens.

Thats why instead of investing in my 401k I'm investing in guns and ammo and practicing headshots and double taps...lol

Hello Chuck,
Please take your trolling somewhere else; the second amendment wasn't being discussed, fuck you very much.

Can you honestly tell me you can take the current administration's actions into account and think this isn't an issue? Try putting your thoughts down sometime instead of coming into my thread and reiterating your ignorance, mkay?
