Default Calling crazy abortion protesters...

Lets say I have a friend who has a VERY good chance of dying if she keeps the child... long before the actual birth, because of a medical condition. Child was an honest accident, many precautions had been taken.

Do you believe she should die?

Wouldn't that be kinda like aborting herself if she didn't abort the thing that is not yet a person. Or would it be suicide/homicide for killing herself and the potential kid.

No, but it seems like she should have gotten the shot or some other crazy drug that kills all chance of prego status.

Does she have a SLIGHT chance of living? It all comes down to her morals and conscience. I'm glad I'm not here because I can only imagine what she must be going through.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I think that in MonkeyEvil's scenario the woman wouldn't know that her life was threatened until after she became pregnant.

Your response though, does warrant this. By using those "crazy drugs that kill all chance of prego status", a woman can in fact, abort a fetus. It's very possible for an egg to be fertilized while on birth control. The birth control will just cause your body to abort it before you even knew it was fertilized. If you don't trust me, here's some whacked out pro-life website for more info:

http://www.prolife.com/BIRTHCNT.html

Now, after all that is cleared up...the woman in the scenario should do what she thinks is right. If it was my wife and we've had this discussion before, I would abort the fetus, without a second thought. I wouldn't give up my wife's life for a fetus, even if that fetus would eventually grow up to be my child.

no she should have the kid, die during birth, then the kid can be an orphan living off the government dime and growing up to be a democrat.

If it was me, I would prefer to have my wife live. We could always try to have another if and when it was safe. If not, then a little more secure form of birth control like a vasectomy would be done. Just my opinion.

When a women is pregnent, she says "I am having a baby", not I am having a fetus. How many times have you heard a woman say that?
You're not as smart as you make yourself out to be, so stop the nonsence.

In that scenario which is very small in the real world and it does happen were the carring of the child to term can cause the mother to die. Tough choice, I don't know what I would do. I love my wife and if it came down to it as stated in the other post we could try for another child later, or adopt. Like I said it is a very tough choice.

Not enough information to really make a decision, IMO. How far can she carry the baby? Long enough to have it a be an Super premie? One of my friends just had a Baby at 24 weeks. It's fine. Could the baby survive out side of the womans body at that point?

Does the woman feel like she has a responsibility to her child? Does she want to be racked with guilt? If she has one, how does her husband feel about it?

If it were my wife, We would BOTH talk about and see what happens. I hate Scenarios like this because they are just trying to get people riled up. If it were an actual person, it would be different and I'm sure there would be more information on that persons stance on the subject.

There are no cookie cutter answers in situations like this and I think that's why it's such a Hot debate.

I think this is the exact type of situation that makes it tough on pro life people to be pro life.

I want to make sure I read this right.

The woman has a chance she might die, not a for sure but a chance.

And the pregnancy was a result of her actions, we'll call it accidental fucking.

She took many precautions, which we all know are not 100% effective, but she felt at ease with the odds.

Do I believe she should die? You said there was a chance not that she would, so no I don't think she should die, I think she should have the kid and live a long happy life with it.

I'm not Aber61, I just play him in this thead.

You've said countless times that you believe abortion is murder and that it's not a fetus inside, but a baby. So, you'd consider murdering your baby so your wife could live? I just want to make sure that is what you are saying.
