Default Very Clean CJ8 Scrambler - SOLD

I am considering getting rid of my Scrambler, as I have two other rigs I like more, and I really can't justify wheeling the piss out of this one.

I bought this Scrambler 3 years ago from the Manager of a local Autozone. He had spent 5 years rebuilding this thing from the ground up and bought every part new he could. It was his mall crawler, and never saw any use off road.

The truck has a brand new crate 350 engine in it, T5 trans, and Dana 300 case. Stock axles with unknown gears. 3 inch body lift and 4 inch spring lift.

Unfortunately the guy did some cheesy stuff, like make up his own diamond plate panels for different areas, and he welded diamond plate into the rockers and front floors. He also tried doing some sort of lift out tailgate thing in the rear that I have since converted back to stock.

The interior was herculined back to the bulkhead, and the back he glued speaker carpet everywhere which I pulled out. So, there is no interior in this thing. I do have two nice gray YJ seats and a brand new rampage fold and tumble split rear bench that isn't installed yet. The seats in the pic are gone.

Since these pics were taken I sold the top and doors as I didn't like them. They were in bad shape anyways.

I also traded off all 5 wheels and tires for different ones for my other rig, so it has no wheels or tires.

The rear around the tailgate needs to be repainted due to my re-cutting and welding it back to stock.

Sorry, but I don't have current pics. The truck is located in Algonac in my storage barn which is dark and surrounded by other junk. You basically have to come and see this thing anyways to see if you want it. If I get it out of the barn soon I'll post more pics. The body is the same as it is in the pic, and it's been stored inside since I've owned it.

It runs and drives great. However the ignition is sticky in the column, so it currently will keep trying to start the motor. So this needs to get fixed. I have it on some cheesy rollers right now, so it will need wheels and tires. It also needs new windshield wiper assemblys.

There is no rust on this truck, and everything was blasted and painted by the previous owner.

It also has stainless headers, flowmaster mufflers, and an MSD ignition system. Edelbrock intake and carb.

I'm not highly motivated to get rid of this thing, so I'm going to put it up for $5000 or best offer.

Call Keith 810-614-8038 (9am-10pm only please) No texts.

I am looking for a 22-30 foot aluminum boat with trailer. (must be aluminum)

Willing to entertain other trade ideas as well.

Thanks. If I don't end up selling it or trading it off I'll probably fix it up for a Daily Driver.

Personally I'd remove the body lift, get one of the new cordura Bestop Supertops, and eliminate the diamond plate.

And by the way, it's wearing 35x14.50 Radial swampers in the pic. I think it would clear 33's nicely if you ditched the body lift.

Diamond plate is like garland on a Christmas tree. It looks great properly proportioned but don't get drunk while applying it. Too much makes you wonder whats going on underneath it. Looks great even with the lift.

I have a 99 300M for sale on here any interest at all? Got some cash too.

Good luck, I'm sure some one will give her a good home!

The aluminum diamond plate is simply for looks. I've removed several pieces and re-pop riveted them on because I thought the same. The pieces I removed looked fine underneath.

The steel diamond plate in the rockers and quarters was welded over the body for protection. You can see the inside of the panels because there is no interior, and you can see there is no rust.

Thanks for the offer on the car, but not really my style.

I wasn't real specific on boats, but let me be now.

I'm mostly interested in a Marinette.

I'm also interested in Chris Craft Roamers with an aluminum hull.

I'll entertain ideas for trades on any aluminum boat, as long as it is over 20 feet long and has a cabin. I'll consider aluminum boats that are too big to be trailered as well.

The only way I'll veer away from an aluminum hull would be if the boat has diesel engine(s)

Depends on the XJ. Is it the one in your avitar?

How clean, and what does it have in it?

Auto or manual?
