State Park Sticker $24
ORV $16.25
Flag $20
You can buy pretty much anywhere in the area.

They don't charge you to go in.

Flags are anout $20 bucks at any store or gas station up there. I have about 4 extras now....

Mount $15 to $20 or just make one. The flags use a 9/16" hole again at any store up there
ORV.. Up there or Meijers $16.25

State Park sticker $26 now???? or $6 for a day-pass. After all that, it's just the gas to go for the rest of the year!!!!

Also, from May 15 to Sept 15 you should have someone get you a voucher the day before with an assigned time to get in the dunes parking lot. There's dune ready with is easy and there's a ton of or a parking lot voucher if you have to trailer your rig up there.

I think that about covers everything......

From 2 weeks before Memorial Day weekend until 2 weeks after Labor day, you have to get an assigned time the night before to get in. They are available in 2 hour increments starting at 8AM. You can go up there and wait at the voucher center the day of and sometimes get right in. On a busy weekend though, you could wait for a few hours. Especially if you have a trailer that you are towing your rig on. If you can go in "Dune Ready" (driving your rig in) that's the fastest and easiest way to do it.

This is for the weekends only. If you are staying up there for a week for example, you can pretty much come and go as you please during the week. Go up there 1 time and you figure it all out. Talk to other people that are waiting to get in and they can tell you what to do and what to expect.

Dune Land right at the dunes entrance has everything you need to get in then the voucher center sells ORV and State Park stickers or daily pass depending on what you want to do. and Vouchers you can get in the mornings before you go into the dunes but it's first come first serve and you usually end up with a shitty entry time.

Sandvipr i seen you there this past weekend very nice rig ya go there.

Skife, there are 2 ways to get into the park. 1 is with a day pass and one is with a year pass. If you are going to ANY STATE PARK (minus the historic Mackinac parks) in Michigan more than 4 times, it's worth getting the year pass rather than the day pass.

I like to get my ORV sticker right at the park or at the voucher center, if you get them at walmart or the like, they are the horizontal print outs and not the sexy vertical ones. This year is purple!

I just googled and found this:

http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7...5611--,00.html

If I am reading this correctly, you can check out a 1 day pass from the library and use it with in 7 days. Had anyone done that before? I like giving my money to the park, but if you are tight on cash, it might be a good idea.

As for the vouchers, we have found the best method is to get in line Friday night and get vouchers for Saturday and Sunday, Someone else can chime it about what time is the earliest you can begin to line up at the voucher center Friday night. The voucher center is on Fox Rd about a half mile east of the park. If you need a parking lot voucher you'll need to get in line EARLY. They used parking lot vouchers this weekend, but not dune ready vouchers--so if that give you any idication on how quick those can go...on a slow weekend.

Air! If you don't have onboard air, one trip to Silver Lake will make it worth it for you to get a set up. DuneLand (DAR) has 2 or 3 tanks and they are pretty quick and free, but there are usually 10-12 people waiting in line for them, if not more. You can also get air a few places in town and just out of town, but there are lines at almost all of them. If you have anywhere to be after you leave the park, you'll want to pad your time by AT LEAST 45 minutes if you need to air up. If you have your own air, I recommend filling up in the 15 minute parking immediately after the exit of the dunes (not the park).

Hope this helped!

you can park your truck on Fox road by the sign that says VOUCHER LINE or something like that i believe its 9:00 p.m. they start letting people get vouchers for the next day. Even if you get a 7 o'clock parking lot voucher you still have to wait till 9 anyways to actually go in the dunes
