Default Facebook virus removal???

My GF got the latest virus going around Facebook. It seems to block AVG from updating and I hear it blocks other antivirus from updating also. I have tried to uninstall AVG and the reinstal with no luck. It blocks it from going to the internet. I can get on the internet with her computer but it is really acting funny. Anyone deal with this yet?

Got a thumb drive that can run programs? About the only thing I can think of is to install AVG on that thumb drive with another computer, make sure its up to date, and then use it to scan that PC.

my other computer always acted weird after my son had been on FB. this one does alright but I have such a fast processor it may just not see the lag time. i installed a program called C cleaner that would let me do a quick scrap of all the cookies on my XP machine. seemed to work well for chasing bugs away till the security system locked it up.

If you don't click on stupid ass links on Facebook, you won't get viruses. Facebook itself does not and cannot give you a virus. It does not execute any code on your system (unless you count javascript). Also, as I've said many times before, don't use IE.

Yes, it is not locked up or useless yet. It will open .exe files. It is currently being scanned by Yettis program. It has only found 227 threats so far. 5 are Trojans and 5 are Browser hijackers.

I got a virus from facebook. I think it was one of the apps, but my IT team cleaned it off but it wasnt fully removed by AVG and replicated it's self. I ended up having them reformat last week. It is so nice to be virus free.
Trendmicro can suck it

Boot into safemode, the virus will not run in safe mode. Then run malwarebytes. If you need internet access to download malwarebytes boot into safemode with networking.

The biggest PITA ever was one I had to deal with a couple weeks ago.

Jacked the reference to .exe files so they would not open. Everything I needed to open I had to use the command prompt to copy it to a .com file. So once I got the registry back I could start to work it out.

Even after I got a browser working it ran a script to make AVG's page blank. So I downloaded AVG from another site, and a spyware program to clean everything.

Annoying bastard.

Your girlfriend is a retarded fukc that clicks facebook links that give her viruses, and then blames it on facebook.

Is that good enough?
