Default synthetic oil and regular

I bought an arcit cat zr 800 bout a month ago. i bought a gallon of ams synthetic oil for it, but it looks different than what is in the res. is it ok to mix synthetic with regular or should i burn most of it up before adding or should i not use it?? i guess my main question is can i mix synthetic with regular?

1st thing you should do is make sure your new oil is recommended for pre-mix or injection. As far as mixing it, I wouldn't, but that isn't based on any experience - just gut feeling, lol.

yea it is for oil injection and it is safe for powervalves which i have. the oil currently in there has a blue-ish tint, and the ams oil has a brownish tint, almost like regular motor oil.

I'd be using the Red tinted AMSOIL myself . . . works awesome as premix and oil injected engines . . . pour a little into the fuel tank on the first few fill up's of new 4strokes even . . .
