Default D30 (possibly bad) and Ford 8.8 4.10 gears - SOLD - $425

Sold, thanks for looking.

No longer just a feeler - I am going to upgrade my front axle from the D30 to a D44 and since the D44 has the 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern I am considering switching from the Ford 8.8 to a Ford 9".

The front axle needs at least a pinion bearing. It started a couple of weeks ago with in/out slop, but now have an 1/8" of axial play as well so I don't know if this is just a stage of the bearing getting worse or what.

Both axles have 4.10 gears, the rear has factory limited slip. Both have disc brakes, the 8.8 has all of the parking brake stuff except for the cable. They are both still bolted under my 1997 TJ.

I'd like to get $450 for the pair but don't know how much interest they'll pull. the 8.8 has the D35 brackets welded on, not aftermarket brackets. They held up just fine for one year of 4.0 use, and a couple months of 5.3 use so I'd never consider changing them but at least you know ahead of time what I'm offering.

I can have these pulled in a few hours, but it can't be until early next week unless you're in a real hurry to get them. Then I'll have to borrow a car for a while which can happen if need be.

I'll separate, but I want $400 for the rear. The front needs work so it has minimal value.

I need to justify the swap to a 9".

well if the gears aren't shot from the slop in the pinion I may be interested in the front axle...

I removed "FEELER" and these are definitely for sale or trade. I'm looking for 4.10, 4.56, or even 4.88 gears for a D44HP (reverse cut) and a Ford 9", also lockers for both axles. I'd think about a winch, but it would have to be a Warn, 8274 would garner extra interest.

How much for just the front axle? All I'm really interested in is the gears and axle shafts if somebody needed the rest...

I really don't. My guess is YES, but I won't even have time to pull the cover until next week when I get my dad's Jeep out of my garage.

I'm sorry, but there is one more thing. The front axle housing was modified to work with radius arms. The stock passenger side upper control arm bracket was removed and replaced with shorter brackets from Lane Automotive. This was actually done so the radius arms would clear the AC pump on the 5.3l V8.

not a problem for me, like I said I'm only interested in gears and spare axle shafts... let me know the shape of the gears and I can probably come take it off your hands sometime soon!

still have the axles, looking to upgrade my grand cherokee axles. Is the front a high pinion? Has the 8.8 rear got all the brackets for the arms still?
