How to post pictures

*Mods feel free to move if necessary or delete if there is a similar thread.*

With all of the new members coming to the site wanting to sell things, but don't know how to post pictures, I thought I would make a simple tutorial for attaching pictures to threads.

Step 1: If you are creating a new thread, scroll down on the page a little until you see what is shown in the picture. Click on the box the arrow is pointing to. *If you want to add a picture to a reply to a thread, you need to click go advanced, then follow steps.*

Step 2: Click on browse box (where the arrow is pointing.) Find the picture file on your computer, select the file, and press open.

Step 3: Click on the upload box (where the arrow is pointing.)

Step 4: Once the picture has uploaded, the name of the file will show up in the red circle. If you need to upload more pictures, repeat Step 2 and Step 3. If you are finished uploading, click on close this window (red arrow.)

Step 5: Click on Submit new thread (red arrow.)

They find the "Manage Attachments" button. The problem is typically not knowing how to re-size them under the attachment size limit in order to attach them.

Maybe CC should make it so the pictures automatically re-size themselves. I was just kinda tired of people saying they don't know how to post pictures and I was bored so I made this. You can delete the thread if you feel necessary.

I'm having problems! need help! when I try to put a pic on it always tells me there was an error uploading your photo. I've tried many different pics but it always tells me the same thing, what do I do? My files are likely too big but I don't know how to reduce them.

Easiest way for me to do it is to host them through Photobucket.

x2

I think the owner(s) of this site set up pictures uploading in such a way as to discourage putting pics on gl4x4 server.

I'm a dinosaur when it comes to tech so bear with me. I just moved from an I530 Nextel to an android. How do I use it to post pics?

Try this other way...

1st step
Go to your profile and click "Show All Albums"

Then click "Add Album"

Then put in all the information and click "submit"

Then click "upload photos"

Then click "browse" to find your photos

Find the one you want

Then click "Upload Pictures"

Then click "Save Changes"

Then click on one of the pictures

Then select all the text in the "BB Code" field and copy it

Then paste that code in the thread you wish to reply in

And it will appear

Has something changed in the picture posting? I never had any trouble before but now I keep getting a "Upload of file failed".

What is the file extension? Is it just the one pic or have you tried different pics?

I was able to upload one no problem.

I am almost thinking it might ba setting on my camera from my download. File extension no idea what that means. I never had any trouble before today though. I am going to try my second camera later and see if that helps.
