Default My Blazer... 2nd Morphing

Well, Its that time of year when I realized I wasted the winter by not working on my rig again. So I have big plans this year to make some more drastic changes from the 3/4 ton leaf sprung S-Blazer to a 1 ton coil sprung with a 4 link. I'll post some pics tonight when I get home of how it looks now and I'll try to keep everyone posted on the progress as I go.

I would but I never did a build thread for the original build. I might have some old pics I could post up... I'll have to look around a bit

Here it is the way it sits right now. This is the 3/4 ton setup with my rollers on it. I run 39.5 boggers on it usally.

Here is the kingpin Ford dana 60 I'm gonna use. Gonna be stuffing it with 5.13 gear and an electric locker.

New spindles and new hubs to make sure there are no issues

Here is my axle the way it sits right now. New hubs, spindles, 4340s, and 35 spline drive flanges.

I post up more pics next time I work on it.

It sure is. I thought it would go faster having him do the 4 link but it took way longer than planed. The good news is he did a real nice job and it was worth the wait. I gotta get the motor out this weekend and the tranny off to get rebuilt next week. But lesson leson learned, "If you're on a time line, do it your self."

ha, yup he is defiantly not the quickest but he always does awesome work. i dropped a stick of tube off to him to have him bend it for a stinger bar and grill guard. It took 3 months of me bugging him.. and then when he finally started working on it, it took him under an hour while i waited...

Kind of looks like mine. Wish I would have done four link but went radius arm. Could you take close ups of the bumper and winch mounts for me? My frames different being that it started life as a 2wd but I'm curious.

My front bumper and winch mount is simple. I took 2x3 tubeing and welded it to the bottom of the frame rails. Then I put some 1/2" plate across the botttom of that to set the winch on. The bumper is on the factory mounts. My winch fits between the frame rails and the control box is mounted under the hood on top of the fender.

Its no wider than the last time you saw it. Its just the way the pics got resized that make it look that way. Still got some body work to do too. I'm gonna trim out the fenders and cut the rockers off. Hopefully it all comes together by spring time. There's a lot of small detail things I need to iron out.
