Well getting ready for toys-for-tots 2010 at the badlands. Last year I spun, stripped, snapped, twisted, shatter, bent, exploded my front right inner and outer shafts. I finally sent them in for warranty to yukon and they are on the way back. I was cleaning things up when I found that I broke my trunion bearings as well. So I am upgrading those from the stock 17mm to the 25mm. All should be done next week and ready for Dec. 4th at the Badlands!

That has to be one of the most nicely executed boat side jobs I have seen. Nice work.

thank you Craig

Most people ask if it is 1 1/2 square tubing with plate welded to it, but NO. It is all one piece formed out of 7ga plate with a 1/4 in. belly pan that is mounted to the bottom of the boat sides. it works as rubilooe has put it to the test!

Nice work! What do you have planned to tie the boatsides into the body in the rear wheel well?

I really like the way it almost looks like it supposed to be there.

It is hard to see but there is a small return on the top of the boat side going into the wheel well. the rest is left open like the pic shows for a reason, WATER and MUD. If these two get infrom the front I wanted a place for them to exit so it wouldn't collect and rust! I know what your thinking, it would look more complete if it was capped off, but I don't what to be known for building things that are going to cause problems on the long run.

That is a good idea to have a way to clean it out.

Well I spent most of the day yesterday getting my rig ready to go. I Replaced the broken shafts, trunion bearing-upgrade to 25mm pins from Marlin Crawler, and relocated my Hydraulic pump and added a belt tensioner. mounted new Yellow Top. All was good untill I checked my alternator! No good, being the thing is Turbo Diesel, it is not a shelf item. I found a place up in Kalamazoo that says he can rebuild it today, but if not I will not make the Toys-for-tots this year. Time will tell.

Here are a couple pics.

THat is very cool, very clean. I like how the front bumper ties into the tube fenders, into the boat sides, into the rear tube fenders, into the rear bumper.

I just got word that they could not rebuild my alternator, but they were able to repair it. SO TOYS-FOR-TOTS HERE I COME, once I install it!
