Default anyone esle have any new "cold leaks"

I swear, every damn winter somone's transmission in my family gets a new leak when the first cold front move in. this year its the trans on my diesel. the aluminum pans tend to leak first with the cold... I am hoping its only the trans pan gasket... but we'll see.

I just wanted to say the cold is doing you a favor, its showing you the weak points in your vehicle, just remember if oil can get out..water can get in.

the fact the oil seals leak means the sealing surface is flawed, the seal bends to meet the flaws when warm and then returns to its original shape when cold.

I disagree to a point. Most of my leaks are caused by pressure inside the case/motor/whatever. Unless the atmosphere's pressure somehow increases rapidly, a lot of these leaks won't reverse... but if the atmosphere takes a crap and does, I doubt I will care how much fluid I am loosing lol
