Default Cummins Excursion

Just picked up a 2000, 2wd Excursion from Texas. Motor locked up. Got a complete '94 Cummins 4wd running gear in the backyard waiting to go in. Gonna try to remember to get pics along the way....

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Should be interesting. At least they came with a V10 so the firewall is deep enough.

Yukon Cummins VS Excursion Cummins! Haha at least you already have a solid front axle. Are you running the dodge 47RH?

The build will be entertaining in both cases.

No race....unfortunately. This build might take a minute. Funds are limited at best. The Excursion is actually 2wd, so I'm looking for a coil sprung front axle from a Superduty.
As far as buying a Powerstroke Excursion goes....I've had a Powerstroke, great motor. My dad has a Powerstroke Excursion....great truck. What both of those trucks have shown me(as well as NUMEROUS magazine articles), is that it costs WAYYYYYYY to much money to get more power out of them. I've also owned a Cummins for a few months and loved it and all its simplicity!
I will be running a 47rh. I have the complete rolling chassis from the donor Dodge.

I feel ya on the $$ part. So is it IFS front or just a dead axle?
Mine and your builds will be very similar. Have you decided what your going to do for the overdrive and lockup control? You can do toggle switchs. But I think I'm going to try the Hobbs pressure switch

Probably the one I bought a year ago. I'm using the suspension/axle, but still have the front frame section with coil spring seats.

Haven't gotten into the lockup issue yet. I'm trying to sell the Excursion motor and trans first. Don't want that shit sitting around taking up space.
