Hurray for the Catholic church. They've stopped touching little boy pee pee's and have moved up to touching the pee pee's of fully grown men.

Proof that we are human?

Proof that even the "Holiest" of us can fall into sin?

Proof that ALL of us can rely on Jesus and Jesus Alone?

Proof that When we try and do thing our own way, we fail?

Religous hypocrite.....

Christian - Follower of Christs teachings and a person who aspires to live a life as Christ

Christ (per Christian Theology) = Perfect, Blameless, With out sin.

Man - Sinful, Naturally Bad, Imperfect

Conclusion, Every Christian Is a Hypocrite. We Try and live a Life of perfection and sinlessness. We all Fail horribly.

Just sayin'

I still think this is a Great example of why I don't like the Roman Catholic church (not to be confused with the Universal (or cathlic)) is that they have so many rules. This isn't nessicarily applicable to all Roman Catholics but these rules open up the door to not have a relationship with God. Just following rules so you won't burn.

It's a Cycle that the Hebrew Relgion fell into 2000+ year ago. Thier "preists" made that religion about the rules and not about God Many many times. Jesus put an End to this and, unfortunatly, us humans tried to put rules to it agian. They did, and now there is Corruption because we tried to constrain God with our minds. The Good news is that this means Jesus could be coming pack soon. of Course, It coule be bad news if you "don't believe in that Crap".

Very well said Scott. You said it in terms that even the heathens on hear can understand.
We all fall short, we are all hypocrits even the ones that don't believe in Christ.
The ones that do believe in Christ are held to a higher standard and if we fail then everybody comes down 10x harder on us than one of thier own. I would suppose that they would not be so hard on one of their own criminals.

How is someone who doesn't believe the rules You do a hypocrite for not believing them? That what makes somebody hypocrite is saying they believe one thing and doing another. If You don't beliveve in those rules how are in the wrong for not following them?

hyp·o·crite   /ˈhɪpəkrɪt/ Show Spelled[hip-uh-krit] Show IPA
–noun
1.a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2.a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements

So please explain how someone is a hypocrite for not following rules they don't believe.

He wasn't calling NOn-believers Hypocrites, He was saying that Non-believers feel as though it's ok to mock, come down on, belittle Christians for not meeting the standards of their faith. Those standards are higher standards then most non-believers...in most cases. It's like making fun of someone for trying to better them selves.

It's also amusing that even though many say they don't believe in the rules they think they have the right to impose those rules on the ones that actually try and follow them. So, in essence, that is Hypocritical.

What I put in red makes Me think he is talking about everyone.

About what you said. By saying your christian and telling other people they should be too you are putting yourself out there for people to see when You don't live up to how You tell people they should live .

the Christians I know have a saying: love the sinner, hate the sin. therefore, you don't "know how christians hate the gays".

that being said, the Christians I know also generally do not hold organized theology in much regard, especially the centuries old, dogma filled Catholic Church...

As for sin, the very same Christians I know, are the first to state that they all have issues with their own walk, even the Pastor - that whole casting the first stone thing... they don't look down on anyone, welcome biker gangs, felons, prostitutes, gays, greedy business men, heroin addicts and the like into their Church.

Spin? I see no spin, just more people mired in sin...
edit: (I did not read the article, as I can guess part of what it states)

There can be no denying, that the secular world has many, many examples to point at in terms of what is viewed as Believer Hypocrisy.

generalizations do not make a universal truth.

as I stated, there are obviously many, many examples for the secular folks to use to point out the hypocrisies of some Christians, and in particular organized theology.

there is no need for "spin" - but carry on with the mocking+trolling - it's just another example of human nature to point out flaws and laugh at them (or think you're better than them)

The spin part was the first post and so far nobody has tried to spin anything so I don't see your point?

Just like I said in My other post . If You try to tell people how to live aleast follow your own rules before you tell people to live by them .

Thats kind of my point I guess. You're willing to use our rules as an excuse to not follow them. Since when did what other people do effect what we do? You may not have purposely came off that way but that's what I SEE in alot of non-believers. Should I assume all non-believers think that way just because you do? I try not too. What you're seeing is proof of the Need for Christ in those people's lives even if they claim to be Christian, they can still fail. In only a way that God could do, You're seeing his proof that you need him.

Sorry, missed this one.

Also, I don't tell people they should live any way. I just Encourage them to consider the thought of an all loving God that wants to have a Relationship with them. I also Realize that the only way they will change thier lives is if that God takes control. There is no need for me to tell you, or anybody, how to live/not live thier life.

I think I might start wanting to become less like non-believers because of how I see them react to Christians. But just the real bad ones. I'll ignore the ones that actually do good. You know, Focus on what they are not, instead of what they are.

I have rules I live by everyone does . I just don't push the way I think on others. I'm not trying to mock anything I just wanted to know what people thought about this topic. I know lots of good christians that walk how they talk but I also know lots that don't and still tell others they are wrong and do the samethings they are.
