Default Q for you guys with 99-04 f250 6" lifts and 37s

m getting ready to buy a 2004 f250. I plan on lifting it 6.5" with 37's right away. I am a little worried about tire rub on the leafs. My dad has a 99 with 4" and 35's and his rub a little, nothing serious though, with stock rims. Am I going to be able to put 37's on with little rub and not have to have my tires stick out to far? Or will I just have to continue looking for a 05 or newer? Also what size rims do you run as far as backspacing and such to make them not rub but still look good? I plan on 17" rims. Thanks for any input!

Mine is a 04 cclb f250, I put a rough country 6" on it, 6" front springs and blocks in the back. My wheels are 20x9 kmc's with a 4.5" backspacing, and tires are 35x12.50. The only time they rub is when one wheel is turned hard and crunched at the same time, in your case with a bigger tire size i'd go with less backspacing.

backspace and super duty unit bearing failure are something to pay close attention to

IMHO buy a 05+ superduty. If you can afford it I highly suggest going newer. There a lot of nice upgrades on the newer trucks. TRW improved calipers, bigger rotors, coil over suspension, newer interior....many other options as well.
