In stores were the politics and corruption have gotten out of control and HR is in the mix of the they always have regional HR's who love to here this shit.

Once you go to a regional HR about it usually some may get fired within 6 months (after investigation) but usually all of a sudden managers start getting shifted from store to store to break up the click.

My point talk to HR asap.

Michigan is an at-will work state. A person can quit or be fired for no reason at all. No reasons are required to discharge a person. They've already started the documentation chain. You are already behind.

So, unless you feel it's worth spending a lot of money to keep a floor job at a large retail chain that has deep legal pockets, I'd do my job as quietly as possible while looking for another job.

You make waves and you are out faster. Can you afford that?

I know all to well about this kind of problem. do well get kicked in the the teeth. its all about who you blow. I would suggest taking a vacation for stress. take a week or two off and let the people who are whining get caught up in their own lies. it doesn't take long for the shit to roll down hill when you leave. after a week or two of being off the manager should see who the real culprits are if you are the one gone and shit still isn't getting done. you can also file a complaint with wage hour & labor

I would walk into the managers office close the door and tell that prick you opioin. they can't fire you for that. That is your right. Also tell him to bust out that proof that you have i want to see it. As for everybody else just walk around with a big permagrin from ear to ear. That will piss them right off. You need to start your own paper trail. Date,Time and what happend who was involved. Because if it goes to to big wigs they don't give a shit about hearsay they want proof. If you go back to mosqito control. How much does it cost. I need that done around my house. I'm Trapped inside my house in the spring. Walk outside and you got about 3 million around ya and in your mouth.

Oh yes they can. It becomes your word against his. All he has to do is say you came in there yelling and threatening. Next thing you know the cops are at the door and escorting you out. Michigan is an at-will work state. It's as simple as them saying "he doesn't play well with others".

I repeat, if you can afford to lose your job without a replacement, fight it. Otherwise, bury yourself in your work while looking for another job.

First, your already have your manager working against you by documenting everything your doing wrong. On top of that he has laid it out, he is hearing from "sources" what you do wrong, perception or not, at this point it affecting his crews "morale". which he is stuck fixing, and in todays day and age with HR and lawsuits of discrimination from minorities, its easier to get rid of the "problem" rather then fix it.

1) that tells me you've already been written off. If you really want to stir the pot tell the highest ranked HR, your boss threatened you with security footage of you screwing off and it's workplace harrassment.(be ready for the truth, if you may have been caught)
2) someone your venting to is repeating your words probably, to him/ her. Don't trust anyone there.

3) as stated below HR works for the company to protect from lawsuits, then to placate employee issues. Now depending on your boss's relationship with your local HR they will tend to believe him before you. Besides that, HR usaully approves employee disciplinaries.(hence go as high as possible)

4)transfer or look for another job. even if you are able to keep this, your career will be scarred at this place of employment for a long time.

I know these "games" because i work in said "managers position". it's not right, it's not fair, and good luck making a legal case of it.

We don't have access to the office when drawers are being counted down.

All of my reviews from my manager have been great. He hasn't had any complaints said I worked great bla bla.

This is all of a sudden.

The only store to transfer to is Saginaw and it's more than likely just as bad, plus its a lot bigger which would mean less hours for me because there are more employees. I work at the smallest store in the district.

They have been on a firing spree lately. The last girl that got fired was because they changed her schedule and didn't tell her so she was 30min late to work.

I'm going to talk to the GM today if he is there if not I am still calling HR and going to talk to him when he is there again.

I had no problems at work until the day I was sent out to learn the media area.

I'm no HR or legal expert, but IMHO, your chance of keeping your job after signing this document is very low.

I hate to see shit like this go down.

xinfinity. names of those accusing you. if they cannot produce names or refuse to, explain that you will have to file a harassment report.

what it really sounds like is that you are doing a better job than the manager. so in order for the manager to cover their shortcomings they transfer the focus to another employee. I have that problem here at my job with one of the owners who has a mental problem. He purposely sabotages all the managers here in the shop so he can bitch at people. I don't let it get to me. I told him that I do my job extremely well. if you want to fire me go ahead if that's what gets your rocks off. I will find another job, you unfortunately will still be a prick. that was over a year ago. no he doesn't say shit to me.

I see you waivering back and forth on what to do. Advice; If your employer has an employee handbook or policy manual that outlines how to handle workplace problems, it would be advisable to follow it to the T. Otherwise you're just giving them an example of you not being able to follow employee policies and procedures.

This is true BUT it doesn't hold up in court. I've seen 3 at will discharges get returned to work for lack of substantial cause for discharge. And in Michigan unless it's changed in the last couple years or so wrongful discharge verdicts only get the person their job back, not compensation (minus lost wages). Take it to HR or compliance (or your company's equivalent dept). Mention things such as "hostile environment", harassment or other buzz words (get educated in these first). And by the way, your manager who's "helping" you by telling you he/she doesn't want to fire you but is tired of hearing blah, blah, blah is a little bitch. Sounds like they are NOT your friend. I managed 100 people at any one time for over a decade and if any of my dept heads came to me with opinions of an employee I would either address the FACTS or tell them to get bent. There is no room for personal opinions by management now days. That's what gets them into trouble so I'd say stop trusting that person. Chances are they are getting you canned THROUGH the other people. Good luck.

I now know where you work. It is a shit ass company that is sinking fast. Seek employment elsewhere because you will not win the battles and even if you do, you will no longer enjoy your job.

Default perception is reality

Unfortunately I have seen and been in this situation.
The reality of it is this:
1. perception is reality. As it has been said before, they already documentation.
2. HR is not there to help anyone other than the company. I have worked IT Support directly for HR Departments. Get past the usual "we are here for you" and "we have an open door policy" and you find that they are just there to handle the personnel administration and get the most from employees.

MI is at will. You will be leaving, it is your choice as to how you leave.
