The Mio Route might be entertaining in the winter with some snow, but you have to watch for sections that overlap with snowmobile trails. In the summer it is basically flat and dusty, it is probably a lot more fun on a quad or bike - kinda boring in a 4x4 like most of our state ORV Routes.

there are all kinds of places around you to wheel, most of the in betweens are flat and sandy but there are a few swampy areas and a few hills. no rocks, but some of the stuff can be challanging to a stockish rig. try going south/southwest of mio and around st.helen those will be your best bets.

I did the Old State House trail last year. 2wd stocker should easily handle it.

If they are swampy, they aren't likely legal trails to be on.

Basically we don't have much challenging stuff in Michigan that is legal. There are quite a few areas that are scenic or tight and technical, but still traversable in a stockish rig.

St. Helen / Rose City area does have some decent scenic trails though that are entertaining. Also, the rock course is almost done in the motorsport area in St. Helen.
