Default The new Taurus "Raging Judge Magnum" .45lc, 3" .410, and now .454 CASULL!

Debuted at the 2010 SHOT show in Vegas about a month ago.

I guess the new model Judge can handle the .454 now, as well as the .410 and .45lc like past models. I was always curious about getting a Judge, but thought its range of use was rather limited. Though, Id go for this model in a heartbeat for the sake of versatility. Ive never been a big wheel gun fan, but this new model has me very intrigued.

To compare the two judges, have a look at this. The old one was a 5 shot, the new "raging" judge is a 7 shot with a heavier barrel. It looks like something hellboy would carry. FYI this is the first time Ive ever seen one (I have yet only heard about it). This thing is damn ridiculous.

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Im curious as to pricing. Id guess ~$1200. Does anyone know any more on this?

Ive been weary, mainly because of issues with the PT1911. Though I do love their Raging line. I have a friend with a .44 mag raging bull, and I am highly impressed with both its quality and its single action trigger pull.

The Ruger LCR. The frame is polymer. Barrel, cylinder and other components are aluminum.

Taurus makes some of the best revolvers out there. the judge is a gimmick, IMO. cool to play with, but not the self defense masterpiece they are hawking it as.

I agree 100% which is why I havent bought one. But with the addition of the .454 to the caliber list it might make it appealing enough to end up in my safe as a camping companion.

x2 with the addition of the 454 round it now can be used as a good hunting hand gun too. i can see that being a good hog hunting sidearm

My .02¢

If I was going to carry a hand cannon, I'd still rather have a S&W 460 XVR

Supposedly Taurus was playing with that idea, but making a bottleneck cartridge work in a revolver isn't very easy to do.

It is called a thunder 5 if I recall. It wasn't 223 though or any bottle neck. It fires 410 and 45 long

It was in a movie, so it must be real.
