http://www.junkyarddog.com/ Great parts locator. I have bought 3 motors and 2 trannys using this site. Use the red search bar at the top of the page.

Wow, are you going to change this out yourself? Not trying to knock you or anything, but I did this, with the help of my uncle(professional) and it pretty much sucked. The engine has to come out from the bottom, a lift is mandatory. If you do this post up some pictures, I didn't take any. Good luck.

The engine is pulled from the top, requires intake manifold to be removed in order for it to clear the cowl. These are full framed trucks, it cannot be removed from the bottom-no way to do it that way. You must be thinking of a different vehicle. Warranty time is like 15 hours, a shop would charge 20-25 hours to do it. They are one of the harder ones to swap, good weekend job with a few beers and pizza.

Did you miss my post^^^^^^. The grille, core support, and radiator/condensor needs to come out along with the intake manifold and it'll come right out.

did you document this at all? I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my envoy. Any tips you learned would be great. And any pics?

Would it be easier to leave the oil pan and axle in place? I have to swap pans anyway, just curious if it's an option.

I'll pm you, I'm just starting to look into it, so it will be a little while before I dig in.

Thanks.

ask over at www.trailvoy.com

they will help you do anything regarding the gmt360

try and go for a 5.3 swap from a trailblazer/envoy if you can though, more power and its a more common engine.
