I had the same problem with my vacuum disconnect. I went over to the posi-lock cable...and an e-clip came off so it still didn't work. I found out when I needed it most. Now I carry a few spare e-clips and spare 75W90. With my new Aussie Locker I can tell if the front axle locks in...pulls to the passenger side when I shift T-case into 4WD and then straightens back up when I hit the Posi-Lock. Cool pictures. I'm looking forward to the Pig Gig.

yeah my bearings in there are screwed and the two shafts dont line up. so the cable i made up for it wont pull the shift fork over at all. so i just jamed the fork all the way over and locked the cable tight so it couldent fall back in to 2wd mode
