s-10 front cab mounts

Anybody have any ideas of or leads to some pics or links of ways for fixing rotted out front cab mounts on a 1st gen S-10 [or S-12 in my case haha funny]. Anyhow I'm not a body guy but I have access to welders, torches etc. I just don't know where to start as far as what material and how to use it.

best bet is to cut the body mounting area flush with the floor pan and weld in place a 2x2 or 3x3 boxed square tube section
thats the mount on my blazer and i plan on cutting all of the bad area out then weld in 1/16 sheet metal for the floor and a boxed 2x2 tube section for the body mount itself.

i'm doing a body off frame build on mine which will take a long while to complete. but with the body off the frame i can have better access to the underside for repair.

Cool I figured I'd ask. There's no better way to learn than hands on.
