Default 89 ford hydraulic clutch line will not go back on

got a 5 speed just put a clutch in it but now cant get the hydraulic line back on its so hard of a compound rubber it wont go over the end of the hydraulic fiting

ples help ?? thanks

external or internal slave on that? don't suppose you have a pic, do you? If it's the internal, I just left the plastic/rubberized tube attached and used a pick and pushed the release pin on the line past the junction you're speaking of. Again, was a buddy's truck and I'm not even sure it's the same style. It was a late 80's ford 4-speed though.
