Default SOLD - Chevy SRW D60 & 14bFF, 4.56

These are the axles out of my 1987 Suburban that I have been DDing on for a couple years now. I had wanted to swap them out to retain them for use in the diesel I have anyway, but a part failure accellerated the process. The details of the failure are explained below. Basically need a new housing (for the spindle) & hub.

Edit: I've located a complete axle in good condition, which I am planning to retrieve on the weekend of 3/12-3/14.

Excellent & easy bolt-in swap to get you driving comfortably on 35's (or 37's if you have OD) for any full-size GM of the same generation.

  • D60 front. SRW Chevy kingpin K-30 housing from the same generation as the Suburban. 35-spline inners. Factory 4.56 gears, open. Ford F-350 dual-piston outers. Moog adjustible lower kingpins (couple hundred a side, but lets you set camber on a kingpin axle). Yukon 35-spline stubs. Warn 35-spline lockouts. Driver's side spring perch replaced a couple months ago due to the leaf spring centering pin hole having become slotted. New calipers and pads, 1/2010. Tie-rod by XJeeper @ Unlimited Offroad Centers. Has 7.4° caster as it sits in the truck.
  • 14bFF rear. SRW from same generation K-30 as the Suburban. Re-geared to 4.56, Gov-lock rebuilt at that time. Diff does not leak. New bearings, hub seals and brakes 2/2010, but suffered a failure on the passenger side when an old, crappy spindle nut retainer gave way (because I didn't have a new one). Everything else on the axle is in good shape and survived. Brakes have maybe 20 miles on them max, as the failure happened right after leaving the shop. The damaged side will be reassembled with all new bearings, seal, and also new brake shoes to eliminate contamination.

Here's what the set looked like when installed on the truck with H2 rims.

$1750 delivered in the Lower Peninsula. Both axles are out and ready to go. Price will go up if I get to performing the rear housing swap.

SOLD.

Both axles are now together in the garage, ready for pick-up or delivery. An engine hoist is also present at the storage location for easy loading.
