Default 78 Ford Bronco-SOLD

1978 Ford Bronco- 400M, C6, 205 transfer case. Runs good. The previous owner said there is 4,000 mi. on a rebuild. Currently the lights do not work so it is not street legal but with a little tlc it could be. This bronco was just my sand toy-I do have a title. I did make it a tilt front end that looks good and works great- fenders are still in primer. It is caged- 1 5/8” mild steel mandrel bent tubing- looks real nice- it has the main loop behind the seats (braced) and goes back toward the tail gate. I made the cage go back so I could put a racing seat between the supports (so you don’t have to wear a helmet) for the main loop but never did. The rubber body bushings are gone and in place is steel tubing- for the roll cage. No glass in tailgate and no heater- I removed the heater core.

These parts have two days in the dunes on them-

-Built C6 tranny. I had my 532 in the bronco my first trip in the dunes and smoked the tranny in about an hour, had it built but ended up selling my 532. It was built to withstand 1,000 hp. Broader performance manual reverse valve body, billet servo, high performance clutches and band, drum was also machined to hold one more clutch pack. Works perfect.
-external trans cooler in front of rad.
-hedman fender exit headers.
-front end- new ball joints, bearings, spicer u-joints, lock-outs, 4.56 yukon gears-open diff., brake lines, calipers, brake pads.
-rear end-new light weight steel spool, bearings, 4.56 yukon gears, yukon pinion support and center section. No brakes on rear
-new transfer case and transmission mounts
-new front and rear drive shafts built and balanced by Machine Service in Greenbay WI., with spicer u-joints.
-new 2 5/8" volt, oil, water, and fuel level Auto meter ultra light gauges.
-Msd 6-al ignition box.
-manual brake master cylinder
-borgeson u-joints on steering shaft

Other parts on bronco-

-Turbo Action Cheeteh SCS 3-speed shifter
-5" Autometer tachometer with shift light
-Painless 8-circuit switch panel w/ fuses
-Painless 8-circuit relay panel
-two summit racing seats w/ 5-point harnesses
-15 gallon aluminum fuel cell
-kill switch
-31 spline Yukon rear axles
-35” tires w/ 90% tread left on aluminum rims
-rebuilt steering gear box
-optima red top battery
-4” suspension lift, 3” body lift
-rear traction bars
-newer radiator w/ electric fans
-front clip and radiator can be removed easily
$4,000 obo. If anybody is interested, email me at asholdwick@yahoo.com or 906-273-0308- after 5 pm. Located in Marquette, MI.

Pics of the cage? I'm assuming there is no rear seat, but is there room for one? Need somewhere to put the kids.

Pm me your email, I'll send some pics when I get home. The way it is right now, you can only put a single racing seat in the back-if you removed the down legs for the main loop, you could put the factory seat back in. The 15 gal. fuel cell would be directly behind the seat.

No, 400 and 460 are totally different and they are mild steel.
