Default 1996 Cherokee Classic-SOLD

What we've got here is a p r e t t y nice Jeep. I brought it up from southern OH. NO RUST! 225,000 miles on the good running 4.0 auto with the 242 transfer case(part time, and full time 4wd). 3.5 " Superlift. Springs front, blocks rear. RE lowers up front. Rides pretty nice. The wife wants a newer one...DOH! I replaced the track bar. I put a lower mileage rear axle out of a '99 in it. The original was makin all kinds of noise. I installed the center console out of the same '99 that I got the axle from. Looks a LOT nicer, and has cup holders! The interior is in pretty good shape. The seats could use a cleaning, but that's to be expected in a 12 year old Jeep. The body is pretty nice as you can see, but something happened to the passenger door...it's a little banged up. No power windows or locks, but it does have air, and it does work. It's got almost new RTS's on 15x7 AR black d-windows(not in pics). Just started to spew coolant from the front of the motor the other day. Not sure were it's coming from, but if I can fix it.....the price will go up considerably. $1600 as it sits. Come take a look....you won't be disappointed. Will sell with an extra '96 motor with only 156k on it for an additional $300.

Definitely curious. Have you played with it yet to figure out why it's idling rough?

Rough idle comes and goes after driving a few hundred miles or so. Still here.

Whats up with the coolant spewing? Where's it coming from? I'm headed that way to pick up a Yota this weekend so my ears are pricked. It's pretty clean, and if I can get it home as is I might be interested. Let me know.

Probably either the bottom of the radiator is leaking or the water pump is common. Rough idle tho is symptoms of a head gasket. Hope its not that for ya! I'd consider the 1600 if that extra motor came with it. Pm me if you dont sell it or have questions on it. Been around these jeeps for a while. 3 yj's 3 xjs 1 TJ and 2 Zjs lol
