Ok, more updates

Started by cutting the rest of the frame up and grinding it down to clean metal. Then got the frame extensions made, and started putting it together. I used 1/4" wall 2x4 for everything. The frame attaching area is overlapping the extensions by 7", they fit inside of the frame, then plug welded and welded at the seams. Turned out good, should be strong and we have a good recovery point built in too. One last thing I did was make the crossmember about 1" further out from the body then it was so it will act more like a bumper and that also allowed me to move the tank back a little more to give it more room.

On with the pictures

And all finished with paint

Thought you said the shifter broke. Was it just bound up? Maybe frozen? Is there a chance it had water in there?

I looked at the shifter yesterday and couldn't see anything wrong with it (other then being chevy ). Figured it was binding up internally.

I thought the linkage did, after further inspection it was all together. I am thinking maybe frozen/water in the case
