Discount tire will take them for $1 or 2 each. I'd call a few tire shops and see if you can strike a deal. I think anybody would rather see them disposed of properly as opposed to burned or dumped.

Are you getting steel wheels or aluminum? I don't think steel wheels would be worth it.

OK, while I agree that MI has some overly restrictive laws on small business, the classification of tires as "problem waste" is by no means a MI-specific thing.

What a local recycling center or hazmat disposal program may take from a homeowner is a whole different thing from walking in there with commercial quantities. I'll offer that no city/county/township recycling center in the country will knowingly take 100+ tires from a single individual unless there's some kind of special short-term program.

I'd walk away from scrapping rims (if possible), since tire disposal issues are most likely the reason nobody had done it already. Tire disposal is a pricey proposition.

And, in all seriousness, DO NOT burn or illegally dump these tires somewhere.
