here is new location of axle now i have to make room for tire up travel. most likely bump stops. maybe some cutting want to keep the XJ look still side makerlight wise

I know i will catch some $hit for this but i redrilled springs 3" back and pined them. springs are worn in about time for new ones but budget wont allow right now so had to make due.

made up panels for rear quarter out of 1/8th steel have some trimming to do yet but they are close.

so next up is sheet metal work on wheel tubs and floor where dana 300 pokes in on pass floor board. then make new cross member for front links. picked up a used fuel cell today working on fitting stock pump and sending unit in it.

Please show pics of how you do the wheel wells. Are they going to be shaped like stock or just square? have you seen the T&T Project Low Wagon over on NAXJA? That's what I am going to model my rear after.

T&T Project Low Wagon

huh never seen that one. just checked it out looks nice im doing same thing just moved axle back so i didnt cut into the door area i will keep that lip on there. but i will reuse the stock wells and put a pice in to take up the gap. ill post some pics in the next few days when i get going on them.

I did already remove the hump in the front wheel well like he did just havent sheeted it in yet. thats yet another thing on the list..

here is test fit between frame rails. fits great is about 1/2 inch above frame so i will have a flat belly plate for a skid.

welded up link brackets i will have 8" seperation at the axle between links. should handle close to what the stock short arm was.
