If you were to steal kids what would be your motive?
Then we could call you a whako left wing nut job that steals kids for your own personal gain, slave labor, sweat shop...
All kidding aside these people were wrong in what they did, they had good intentions but went about it the wrong way.

Where is the outrage? These Christians are getting away with a so called crime. Maybe because what they did was not really criminal.
Maybe because the parents of the children also testified that they themselves are the ones who gave the children up to get help from strangers(Christian strangers). the officials saw no criminal intent and released them. See no big deal, but the haters wanted to make something of it. Not to mention any names, you know who you are.

Maybe because our gov would have bitched if they got the 15 years.

And it says they still have to keep a lawyer in haiti so they might not be all in the clear yet. but they get to go home.

I Hope God fries their asses for attempting to cause massive grief in those childerens' familys.

(Most) Christians chap my ass. Almost everyone I've met has been a self entitled hypocrite.

These people did nothing worth of getting 15 years in prison and the government of haiti saw this. Aid workers were not getting people or kids out for medical treatment because of the red tape required to remove them from Haiti. Good people helping people in need, that includes all of the people over there not just the Christians

I don't think they needed 15 years but maybe a couple weeks in a shithole third world jail taught them to go about doing things the right way.

I'm sure they got the crap scared out of them and probably will not go about trying that again any time soon.

Also, Sova, I see what you did there with the 9 year old girl quote. Made it out to look like the Kidnappers tricked her into getting in the van with Candy or something. While thier actions and intentions are not completely known, or condoned, I can imagen that thier parents probably gave them up and told them "You're going to a Camp for a while" so the kids wouldn't struggle. No parent would ever tell thier child that they are letting them go because they can't afford to feed them anymore and that they wouldn't see them again. "Sorry Son, I have to give you up to these people because I can no longer afford to take care of you. Have a Good life, Don't do drugs, Stay in school." That just doesn't happen.

I think the Missionaries had the right idea and did more then any body on here would have done. They went down there to help; they took action. I think that's great. I'm sad that they weren't smart enough to go through the proper channels though. It almost sounds like the leader of this group may have jumped the gun because of heightened Emotions. JMO.

They point it out because it is not the first time. This has become somewhat of a business. There are proven cases where other groups did the same thing, and told parents that they were taking the children to send them to good schools and a better life, but would be able to return to their families one day. In reality, they claim the families are dead once they get here and put them up for adoption (illegally), and sometimes results in even worse. For some, it is a profit thing. They actually sell the children. The point is, often the biological parents are lied to about the future of the children. And unfortunately, it is usually a church group that organizes it. They should be prosecuted and excommunicated from whatever church they belong to. It's loonies like them that give Christians a bad name. And normally, the news does report color or nationality at least. Why do you think that most Americans believe that ALL muslims are murderous terrorists. I know many that are horribly embarrassed by the actions of the few. It's just reporting the facts. Would you rather they just call them Americans and give the world the impression that we all think like this. they didn't just say "baptists" are doing this, they singled out this particular group, as they should do.

You actually need to bring some kind of truth and proof to what you are saying. As far as you saying that these people are Christians stealing kids? These ones in question are not but maybe some have been saying that they are doing this to help but really are doing it for profit.
The ones that were caught had been in Haiti prior to the earthquake and helping the local people many times before this.
As far as you also saying about the murderous muslim terrorists, it is true, I have not heard any muslims come forward and denownce the actions of the few that were caught and have known ties to terrorism, because muslims in general believe this to be the right thing to do. They will not turn their back on thier fellow muslims no matter how wrong. They stick up for each other. If you find any muslims that will rat out thier own let me know.
And yes the media did single out these Christians(baptists) as to lump all Christians in one pile and make them look bad or doing wrong. The jugdement of these people were wrong but not all Christians can be placed with these few. It would be like saying all people who drive, live, wheel and breath jeeps are out to destroy and wreak havic where ever we drive, on road and esspecially off road, (illegal wheeling)

....Really? And people get mad when someone makes a generalization about Christianity! If you read/talk to members of the Muslim world, you will find that just like the majority of Christians, they're wonderful, reasonable people who frown on extremism. What's more, the Muslim world suffers more destruction and loss from terrorism than anyone, so to say they are so very in love with getting their homes shot up, and their world burned to the ground is just absurd.

I have not heard thier amoms come out on public radio or tv and anounce that that is not what or who they are about. If they are against terrorism then that is what they need to do. Until a public statement is made then I will have to disagree with you, sorry.

Christians and everybody in general are not exempt from doing wrong or bad things. Non-believers only hold believers more so accountable or to watch them through a magnifing glass and then when one does screw up then it is top news over and over again. As Christians we are held more accountable for our actions. We are humans and make mistakes like you and everybody else.

And yes I do know some muslims and yes they are good family minded people. For the most part there are good ones and then there are the ones who take it to the extreme. The world has more extreme muslims than extreme Christians.

It is sad that terrorists have no morals and do not care about human life even their own kind. That is why they themselves need to speak out against it. And to condem the actions of the few that do the work or terrorism.
Actually I was reading about how muslims in and throughout europe are for and support what osama binladin is about and his agenda. A small number in percentage wise but when you think of how many muslims are world wide, you have millions of muslims have the same mentality. Kill the infedel. They have an agenda and it is to take over by shear numbers(population) Do a search on u tube about muslim demographics. It has been on here before.

Okay, the double standard is my biggest grievance here. You get very bent out of shape because of people poking fun of Christianity, which is fair, it does get out of hand at times, but then you go well past that with Islam, not even simply poking fun, but denouncing the whole lot as amoral terrorism-loving daemon spawn. Do you not see the irony here? The reality is if you find an UNBIASED survey (read: reliable source (read: NOT youtube)), this whole point of universal Muslim support for terrorism is pure garbage.

Tell me why is it when you go to the airport and muslims get bent out of shape because they are being profiled? Was it not muslims that were the ones to plot and take part in 9/11?
If muslims were to denouce terrorism then I would think that they should have no problem about being profiled in general. They need to stand up on the roof tops and tell it to the world so all can hear that not all muslims are terrorists.
I do believe that not all are terrorists but they need to speak out against it. Which I have not heard.
As far as poking fun at Christians are you kidding me? It is open season on Christians. It is politically incorrect to poke fun at Islam or any other religion. But Christianity is open game. Double standard.

First of all, many, many Muslim scholars (the ones studying the Qur'an...the best source of information on Islam...) have already come out and fervently disowned terrorism as its own religion, and one that at best has a farcical connection with Islam. This stuff is all over the place so as long as you don't try NOT to find it, you will. Second, people of Arab descent, note that I do not say Muslim, this is an important distinction that you refuse to make, are profiled at airports in the same way that black guys are profiled for selling drugs or middle class white kids with trench coats for shooting up schools; that is, because statistically they are associated. That doesn't mean that every one of them supports it, it's simply association. There are plenty of non-Arab-looking Muslims that have no such profiling issues; it's just association. And again, you complain that Christianity is open to ridicule, then go on to ridicule Islam. Sure, the extreme left does the same thing in reverse, and it often goes beyond decent taste, but you know what? The extreme left and the extreme right are the same people with the same hypocrisies, but with different religions (read: Christianity vs. Humanism, for lack of a better word) Ask the middle, more rational voices and you'll find they tend to leave every religion alone. You know why? They're reasonable people!
