Dock rage (stories)

One beautiful early morning towing the boat to the northend boat launch on Torch Lake in Eastport Michigan, the famlily setting in the truck patiently waiting for our turn to launch the boat , we noticed a fishing boat in front of us, three guys getting ready for a day of fishing, awesome, their turn comes to pull up to the dock and start backing in, a guy on each side watching to make sure the guy driving doesn't hit anything, backing to the left backing to the right ooops missed, pull ahead, backing to the left, backing to the right, oooops missed, next guy gets in truck, backing to the left basking to the right ooops missed, pull ahead, backing to the left backing to the right oooops missed, my family saying what the heck!!!!!
But we have seen this before so i get out of the truck to see if i can help the guys out so we all can get our boats in the water to start enjoying the day, oooooh no they got it!!!!! ok ??????? (man thing to proud) third guy gets in the truck pulls ahead, out of the way, we get our boat in, the family goes to the beach i shore the boat and watch these poor guys trying to get the boat to the water, get their gear ready ect ect......
the three guys get the boat to the top of the ramp all lined up, one of the guys unhooks the bow eye strap ( the boats on a roller trailer) they start backing the boat down the ramp ooooooh yeah, boooom the boat hits the ground about 4 feet from the water, the bow is about 8 feet off the ground and setting on the trailer, i am thinking HOLY SHIT THEY HAVER A MESS NOW SO I go over and see if i can help once again, now they will take the help, this was a fiberglass boat, 20 feet in lenght, there was no was we were going to winch the boat back onto the trailer, so get my boat hook up stern eye to stern eye, and i drag thie boat into the water, they park their truck and are off fishing about an hour in a half later !!!!
JUST ONE OF MANY OF MY DOCKING STORIES!

I saw that happen once. almost killed a guy.

I worked at a marina for a few years, and I launch at paw paw lake all the time which is a hot spot for chicago land people. I've seen it all.

and to add to the mix, there are always these hill billys that fish of the launch dock, and refuse to move their lines.

Dude sitting at the ramp wrenching on his boat trying to get it running on a gorgeous Saturday morning. Over an hour waiting for this asshole, lots of pissed of people, myself included. The only reason he finally went and got his truck was because a couple guys told him to get the fukc out of the way or he was going to get his ass kicked.

i went fishing with a buddy once. Sparked up a huge spliff and got ripped and we were being dumb laughing our asses off and stupid shit. No one else on the lake in the late fall on a fairly small lake. We kept hearing ducks the whole time quaking like a mother fucker and it sounded like they were laughing. two ours later two ducks start flying over head and we hear gun shots and a duck lands in the water 20 feet from us.

turns out two hunters were in the weeds while we were being stoopid and were using their duck calls to make it sound like the ducks were laughing at us.

that was a weird experience to say the least. they mocked us as we grabbed thier duck and handed it to them calling us stoners all the while one guys was lauging so hard i thought he was going to piss.

anyway that is my boat/fishing story. kinda lame

waaaay to many to tell. they need to make peeps take a class before they are allowed to use there boats... theres way to many dumbasses on st clair.

last year i was pulling outta mac rays and some dumb ass on a pontoon boat was trying to leave the gas dock and couldnt turn his boat around. this is a very very busy channel for two marinas have boats going in and out all day. any how this jack ass almost hits my boat and two others while trying to turn around his 30 ft pontoon and ends up ramming a dock, freaks out puts it in reverse and then rams full speed into the dock again crushing the pontoon in front and smashing the front of boat. people are screaming at him to calm down because he freaked out. meanwhile ive got ten boats behind me and were all trying to not hit anything because its windy.. he ends up hitting a few more things and floors it to the main lake. pretty sure he was drunk and also owned a party store.... (you know what i mean bro.....) lmfao... pretty sure he ended up with water in one of the pontoons... after it was over it waas kinda funny because he only destoyed his boat.. kinda felt like running him over and doing everyone a favor.
always this year to help out.

NOW, thats a boat story
Why is it that we enjoy boating so much, and we know theres going to be people that just dont know how to calm down drive their boat and we will help each other out of the jam?
There is always a fight and huge ????

Now, I have to admit, I have had my bad days with the boat, you know when things just wont click, you know, miss center on trailer because of washed out ramps, come in to fast, and there are times when people just dont get it!!!! like the fisherman on the dock that dont understand this is for boaters to load and unload and when were not there they are more than welcome to use, but there are those that just dont get it even after you try to be nice, and i have to say i have played the stupid boater and left the drive up and just soaked their asses, oooops sorry

only one I had was years ago, at metro tons of people trying to get to the docks (there is like 4 ramps/spots and 2 guys who where launching funny, had all 4 ramps, semi blocked by jack knifing all over so No one would atemt to get near them. Buddy and I (his boat) were like 7 people back after like 10 min of no one moving I told him I am driving and fish my way though the crowd in one shot launched the boat and drove out. while everyone wished they did that ...no one bitched just look amazed that I made it out with out a scratch

aint that the truth one day we were sitting at the boat in the Algonac harbor club and Jeff and I were chilling on the boat after a good night of partying and Vince the owner of the bar in the harbor while walking with some new girl (Knew him well and paid lots of his bills for him) ask where were all our woman were at? we told him they left we partied all night....

He said " I would share but I only have one"
she slapped him and he said " WHAT were boaters, we always help each other out"

on that note another good boat story was when as unnamed I person i knew well (hint ) called me and told me to come get him he must have hit a sand bar and his boat was in a since dry docked, but he was drunk and didn't know where he was, so I said look at your GPS stupid..so he gave me his # and I drove to the sand bar where he drove aground and didn't see the sand bar...it was harsen island we draged his boat off harsen island and had someone else drive....he didn't remember a thing if it wasn't for his messed up boat he wouldn't have believed it

How often do you visit harbour club? Just curious because I have family and friends there.
