Default junk or unwanted AW4

looking for one to tear down and inspect/compare...free or scrap price is about all I'm looking for...not necassary for the trans to be in working/usable or even rebuildable condition, though all of the pieces there would be a plus!

If all you can find is a good one that someone wants to sell. Let me know and I might buy it and give you my old one. It slips pretty bad. Still drives as I am DDing it now but there is absolutely no firmness to the shifts. I will let you know if I find one to replace mine. Out of curiosity, what do you have planned that you need to do comparing for.

the AW4 is the same transmission used in Toyota (A340H) except the Toyota trans has an intergrated transfer case, and has the parking pawl inside the transfer case...

honestly, I dont know anything about these transmissions, except for what I have read on the internet. Originally, I wanted to do a dual case behind the Toy transmission, but that seems complicated and expensive. Now I'm more concerned with what I have read about the trans fluid running back into the transfer case when driving uphill.
