Millermatic 200 mig welder

Right now I have a (small) mig welder, but ive never been a fan of it. Through my sources I found a good used, all be it old Millermatic 200 welder. It has the SKP-35 spot weld panel, looks pretty good for its ago. Can get it for under $500. Worth the price?

not sure of the value of the welder but its a fairly decent welder. ive used one and i was impressed with its ability and function for the age.

Millermatic 200 mig welder
IMO the best welder of all time. Just sold my millermatic 250 and replaced it with my old 200 (bought back from my dad) I feel they have a stronger arc and are not as lazy as the newer miller welders. Everyone has the own prefrence. And at that price your doing good . I have seen them sell as high as 1200 latley .

yep, from what Ive gathered off the interwebz I havent heard 1 bad thing about the MM-200. Im gonna pick up the old dog and give it a new home Would it be wise to take it to a welding shop and have them go over it to make sure everything works.

As long as it welds good, turn it all the way up and run a few passes to make the fan kick on. make sure there are no dead spots in it.
