i tried a bit of penetrol on it last night and it seemed to look pretty good, with some buffing it should look real good. id like to avoid sanding if possible because i really have no idea how thick the clear gelcoat is, and i have not found a single Mastercraft with this paint scheme so it might be custom, if that is the case i have absolutely no idea how thick it is or if its uniform throughout the boat. worse case scenario, is the penetrol look wares off and i have to sand it later.

and yes, once the boat is done the trailer metal is getting a repaint, the fiberglass fenders are getting patched and painted and im repacking the bearings and replacing the wheels and tires. but that will happen after i spend a weekend out on my boat
