why is it, that we agreed on $35 shipped, and as soon as i asked for the esn number so i could have it checked to make sure it wasnt locked......you decided to "move on to the next customer" ? good luck with your sale, but it sounds fishy to me

You asking for my ESN number sounds fishy to me. You making two different offers within the same day was annoying after we agreed to an initial price.
You asking me what the carrier was when it was in the thread title AND asking for a picture that already existed in the thread proper was quickly giving me a pretty sucky ROI.

At this point I'd rather drop it in a donation bin than waste any more time on it.

Nobody gives out esn numbers anymore. You should know that.

She's been on the site since it started, and the one before this one since that one started. She has solid feedback too. You've been here 5 months with 21 posts and no feedback. You can probably figure out why she wouldn't give it out.

i asked about the esn number because i don't know you or how well you may or may not pay your bills, if your cell billed wasn't paid they lock your esn number so the phone cant be re-activated, i wanted to call sprint to make sure this wasn't the case. i asked for better pics, because u only had one pic listed, and i wanted to know what you had with the phone. and we didn't agree to a price, i only asked if you'd consider it. i wasnt being unreasonable, i just wanted to know i was getting an unabused phone, that wasnt useless, but apparently there's something wrong with it if you can't let me verify it.

no need now, keep it. i don't need another paper weight

and for the record, the length of time someone has been on here, means nothing to me if i buy something and it turns out to be junk. it only means that when i call out the seller for letting me buy their junk, more people are going to blow me shit for it.

i'm not saying your phone is junk, but i'd never buy a phone without verifying the esn. there's nothing anyone can do with an esn number anyways

Uh, yeah. I gave out the esn to my Treo years ago because somebody wanted to "verify" it. The next thing I know my esn is on their account. My Treo became a paperweight, they made an insurance claim and they had a new Treo.

That is why nobody gives them out.

Asking for the ESN is a reasonable request for a buyer.

The buyer doesn't know where you got it, he could be buying a "pig in a poke". However it does also represent a risk to the seller as the potential buyer using just the ESN, could register it to their account, report it stolen, etc.

The best way to handle this would be to meet him at a Sprint store so they can activate it for the buyer when your receive payment. This would protect both the seller and the buyer.

Shoot, forgot to put sold on this. Sorry! I did the Sprint buy back program and it was shipped back yesterday.

I still have the cables though.
