Thumbs up SCCA Pro Sno-Drift Ralley Jan29/30 Lewiston/Atlanta MI

http://sno-drift.org/

Sno*Drift Rally is unique in several ways. Besides being the only winter rally on the Rally America circuit, it is fully contained within Montmorency County, Michigan. Stage rallying goes on the premise of: Real cars, Real fast, on Real roads

The 2010 Sno*Drift Rally will be held January 29 and 30, 2010. This is the last week-end in January. The 2010 event will be the 44th anniversary of the performance type Sno*Drift Rally

Great chance to meet pro rally teams such as Ken Block(DC shoes) and Travis Pastraina(NITRO CIRCUS,pro dirtbike rider, all around mad man) and watch them slide around back road in pro rally cars!

Will be there Saturday

Do you have any recommendations on which spectator area to go to? How does all that work? Do we go there before the race starts or is there a back way in? There is parking, correct?

when you get into town earlier is better, pick up a snodrift paper at one of the local stores. they have all the times and places. hungry 5&nicholson hill rd is a good one. parking is a bitch cuz its on county road so park and walk a half mile. its a good ideal to dress super warm and wait because pastraina and block are usally the first ones through and are defently the fastest and best to watch. like i said plan on walkin and runnin ahead of schedule. there is also a Super Specail stage that is $10 a car parkin is close and also $5 dollars a head. hope that helps you ive been goin since it came to ATL cuz its my home town and the pits are at the Atlanta Hight School. there is a fresh 2" of snow this morning so that should speed up racin some.

yeah it runs real close to my house so we went to a corner that was a nonspector area they are always the best cuz you can sit on the edge of the road and whereever you want. but i noticed this year at the spectator areas there was way less ppl than in years past. always fun

I was at the same spot, wish I would have know there was another Jeeper there, I would've said hi.

I had a blast at the event though, I am going to try to make it again next year. Still editing pictures now though, will post in the pics and video section when i'm done.
