I'd rather be gagged with a fork than have to smell that "new car" crap.

Thanks.
It's actually cheaper than I thought.. $59 for 2-days really isn't bad at all.

I usually just bomb the crap out of it with Meguiar's odor remover spray or whatever. Comes in a gold-clear bottle. I spray the crap out of it, leave the windows up and let it sit overnight. Get the headliner real good too, that's probably where it accumulated at.
Might as well detail it too, I usually bomb it after I detail it.

Get some foaming carpet cleaner, scrub every piece of fabric (carpet, seats, headliner), vacuum it dry, repeat. When its all dry, apply liberal use of the febreeze on all the fabric and crack your windows to let it air out a bit. Scrub down the dash and steering wheel too, spray some febreeze down the vents and AC ducts.

Smokers cars suck, I used to detail cars. Those ozone machines sound easier.

You could also try one of those small portable steam cleaners. You know the hand held ones? That on the headliner should work out pretty well.

x2, they'll actually get out what's causing the odor, and everything will be clean as opposed to the scent just being gone.

For the short term, if you can't afford the detailing, Ozium (linked earlier in the thread) has always worked well for me.

Are you talking about a steam-shark thingy? I was thinking about that, but I know if you add moisture without any chemical to smoke-covered stuff that it just makes it worse...
