Default Toy's r us rant

We bought a ds game (scooby doo)for my son during the black friday sale, and it was given to him for a Christmas gift.

Well the game is having issues, and we called toys r us and they told us it has to be returned with in 45 days of purchase.

Here is my rant, it was a Christmas gift, and was not opened until Christmas, just like 95% of the stuff that was sold that day and the days following .

So i think i will have to make a trip up there monday and try to speak with the manager and explain a little common sense to them.

Anyone ever have this problem?

I work at Best Buy and if the game is defective we will swap it out for you within 30 days.

Our holiday policy is purchases made through Nov 1- Dec 24 qualify to be returned until Jan 31. AFter that your SOL.

Cameras only have a 14 day return policy on them and people bitch when they try to bring them back now and they bought them in Novemeber. I just tell them tough luck enjoy your camera

But yea if they arent going to honor it I'd just go buy a new one, and put the old one in the case and return it. Then take your business elsewhere.

The "selective douchebaggery" in this thread makes me , especially with the shit that some people will give you around here if you buy gas from a incorrectly programmed pump and don't tell the cashier (for example).

Last time i bought a game there the policy was exchange only once opened so the return option does not apply. Most places give the return time from christmas as state above about best buy.

On a side note toys r us is starting to take a profit over service mentality. We bought a kids plastic coupe car and it went on sale 4 days later. We had it wrapped and by the tree already. I went in to get a price adjustment and I was told they no longer match other stores prices or do any price adjustments. The only option I had was to return it and buy it again.

Good luck talking to the manager as I feel your only chance of getting something done is if they have some common sense or youll have to deal with corp.
