I read in another post that the compression software is designed for voice.

Can I keep my current fax number?
Yes! Set up call forwarding from your existing fax number to your new MetroFax number, and eliminate extra costs for hardware and paper. For more information, contact our sales department at 1-888-321-3121, ext. 2, or sales@metrofax.com.
Maybe I could change my fax number to vonage and forward it. That would not use the compression software right?

seems like it would be easier to get a toll free number and alert the people who fax me.

???

I use Pfax. It's like $3-4 a month. I pay for a year at a time and get s little discount. Works great.

X2. I've been using the free efax service for many years! The fax is emailed to you as a tiff image so you can print it or just keep an electronic file.
