Default CB Radios?

Ok So looking for a new radio as the one I have has been a real solider for the last 15+ years, its been under water more then once and still keeps working. Its a nice small Uniden 520XL. I bought this thing when I was 16 and I see they are still making the exact same thing so I am tempted to get anther one. But are there any other good, small CB's out there I should look into? I don't want the big rig chrome monster CB. The smaller the better as long as it performs well.

Fifteen years ago your CB was made in Taiwan, Japan or Korea. Now, the "same" one is made in China. China = Junk. Buy three or four and you'll find one that works for a while. Fucking Chinese.

Uniden, made in the Philippines is the best way to go. As mentioned, the Chinese ones are garbage, and that's probably why you won't find a used one for sale. They break and I haven't found a shop that'll touch a Chinese radio. The Taiwan ones are kinda horrible too, but not as bad as the Chinese radios.

But yeah, the 510 and 520XLs are good radios. I'm probably going to end up with one of those as my next one.

look at a cobra 25. it has alot of the internals of the big radios, in a smaller package.
it still can be tuned, and most radio shops will work on a 25.
