Unhappy Windfarm at Silver Lake - Update 2/16 pg5

So how would you like to get on top of test and look at the scenic view of hundreds of wind generators off the Lake Michigan shore?

From that diagram they would be like 4-7km off shore so its not like they'll be right there. I wouldnt care really. As long as they dont try to put them in the dunes have at it.

It wouldn't be as nice of a view, but at least they are not shutting the dunes down to install them on top of test.

Might be intersting to watch all the Asian Carp getting ground up jumping through the turbine blades?

If you look at the scale... they wouldn't be 7km from Silver Lake State Park.

I think it would be pretty sweet looking myself. Plus sounds like more jobs for Michigan with the installation and maintenance of them.

Actually, if you look at that drawing, it looks like they would be about 3KM from the sand dunes, which is less than 2 miles. Do you know what the visibility is on a clear day?

It would be amazing to watch the sun set over a sea of propellers.

Why are we using the metric system? Are the Brits or Canadians installing these windmills?

Because all the equipment is manufactured overseas and not in the US?

I think they should put them ontop of test hill. Then the only way you guys can see them is from a boat.

what he said. Its easy for someone who lives 200 miles away to say "ewww, eyesore." I live in oceana county, I see the jobless people here. when the project was built in ludington, it created thousands of jobs and TONS of money into the area. We NEED this.

X2 considering we are the only one beside one remote island in the world that use our current system of measurement. However it be to expensive and cause to many jobs to convert over to the metric system like the rest of the world. Wonder how the new Chrysler's will end up being they are now owed by Fiat.
