Default best rim width question

Tryin to decide if I really wanna make some beadlocks for my truck or not. I know thats the best way to go for running really low pressures but if I decide to keep the truck DOT legal and just run a normal rim would it be better to run a narrow or wide rim? Im running 35x12.5-15 KM2's and in my mind it seems running a 7-8" rim might help keep the bead seated when running low pressure or am I better off using a 10" wide rim?

I wouldnt run a 7inch rim but the 8 will be fine. A 10inch wheel is really overkill for 12.50. If you wanna stay DOT legal and want bead locks get some stauns. I have installed them dozens of times on a Competion jeep and they work great. They are kinda a pain to install but not that bad.

You live in temperance. Not many cops. they make fake beadlock wheels and the cops cant tell the difference between them and real ones so no biggie there. I would do it anyway. As long as you dont plan on driving on the highway for long distances cuz they cant really balance good. But for a local driver and trail rig i would do it
